How would you describe your photography style? What’s your favorite thing to shoot?
I like to think of it as clean and neat. The subject can be crazy and experimental, but for me, it’s all about the same standard when it comes to composition, color and framing.
From ideation to execution, what is your creative process like?
It all starts with a deep dive through magazines for inspiration. My mom always had a huge collection of fashion magazines I used to flip through, so I stick true to my roots in the regard. The next step is to find the right people and get them talking about my concept. The rest is coming together and executing!
How do you stay creative and inspired? Do you ever hit creative blocks? What do you do when that happens?
I think the biggest mistake someone can make is being scared of putting down your camera and focusing on something else. You can get as burned out looking at a spreadsheet as you can down your viewfinder. It’s all about pacing, I usually don't pick up my camera for at least two weeks after a big shoot!
If you could go back in time, what would you tell your younger self?
Start documenting your life earlier, memories are beautiful, but some simply deserved to be framed on the wall. So many moments I wish I had captured so that I could remember them better, especially trips.
