When did you know you wanted to quit your day job and make blogging full-time?
After 12 years in the the corporate world, I woke up one day to the decision that I wasn’t going to do the 1 hour drive to and from work and working for someone else. I was miserable and out of energy, and fed up. I did so on a whim without a back-up plan or savings account, but haven’t turned back or regret it at all. I think I’ve always knew that I wanted to be my own boss and it was just the right time to do so.
What is your advice to those looking to make blogging full time?
Just do it. Be fearless, be authentic, and be passionate and you can never fail.
What’s your secret to success?
There is no secret to success, you just work your ass off :) Have thick skin, work hard, and do whatever it takes to make it work
How do you stay inspired? Do you ever hit creative blocks? What do you do when that happens?
Yes, creative blocks happen but for me, that means I need to take time to reset. I love unwinding with a good getaway where I completely disconnect and I always come back so refreshed and ready to work.
What’s your favorite iPhone camera/editing app?
I don’t edit on my iPhone. Everything is edited through Lightroom on my laptop.
