What’s the story behind Studio Table?
Studio Table began as a question. If we assembled a group of strangers in a unique setting to share art, food, and conversation, could that experience spark creativity and forge long-lasting community? Our mission is to foster connections and inspire curiosity through shared, artful experiences.
What can you expect from a Studio Table experience?
Every event is unique, but our guests can expect great conversation and connections fueled and inspired by art in its many forms. Whether it’s a dinner by our Chef Ben Roche in Heather’s studio or a cocktail pairing in a Peerspace loft - it’s all about coming together and being open to new people, experiences, and ideas.
What’s the secret to fostering creative conversations? Why is that so important in today’s day and age?
Inviting people into an artistic or creative space is key. We create an environment that gets people out of their day-to-day norm. Our spaces immediately put them in a curious mindset, which cuts the small talk and makes for an open, meaningful conversation.
From ideation to execution, what is your creative process like?
I am incredibly lucky to partner with Heather Day on Studio Table and learn about her creative process. We are both extremely visual, so drawing helps us frame the challenges we aim to solve and iterate on those ideas. Then, our experience production manager Lauren Hsia brings those ideas to life!
Where do you look for inspiration? And what do you do to break out of a creative slump?
Travel! Being immersed in another culture gives me new perspective, and helps me find new approaches to the different projects I’m working on at a given time.
