The Big Idea

Pretty powerful! On April 17, 2018, I hosted the I Feel Pretty advance New York screening powered by Luna Bar at this 23rd Street Peerspace venue! We invited 50 editors, entrepreneurs, and professionals to celebrate the release of Amy Schumer's new movie.

Transforming the Space

This venue was the definition of pretty! From tropical wallpaper to retro decor (hello red landline phone!) - every corner of this space photographed beautifully for our party. For added color, we included some spring-time floral arrangements, yummy snacks, and movie swag, of course.

Question & Answer

"
Success is never doing the same thing twice - unless it was really fun the first time.
"
How did you get to be a social media expert and entrepreneur?
I started my social media business after a number of brands asked if I could help them with their social media. Like any good entrepreneur, I recognized a demand and created a supply.
How do you stay creative and inspired? Do you ever hit creative blocks?
Social media sometimes has the stereotype of being a “fun” industry or a “fun job.” While I certainly enjoy many aspects of my job, I still face the same challenges as most - time management challenges, creative blocks, tasks I could do without (I’m looking at you, accounting!) When I feel overwhelmed, I go for a short walk or take a yoga class. As a freelancer, being in control of my own schedule has been paramount.
What is your advice to those looking to start their own company?
If you truly want something, you owe it yourself to do everything in your power to get it!
If you could go back in time, what would you tell your younger self?
There are only two days in the year where you can’t accomplish something – yesterday and tomorrow. Start the business. Now.
What gets you out of bed every morning? What are you looking forward to next?
Coffee! ;) But also, in my business, no two days are alike. Which helps me look at each day as a truly unique opportunity.
